Robert Fisher – musician, songwriter, house producer and DJ. Born in Rijeka, Croatia, into a musical family, Fisher first showed his musical inclination at an early age and learnt to play keyboards. Under the influence of 80s New Romantic bands (Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Simple Minds) he formed his own band with which his first musical releases and concerts came to life. After that he spent several years as a professional musician playing with various bands around Europe. With considerable experience and wide musical knowledge he came back to Croatia and collaborated in a series of local and international projects.
2002 was the first time he was signed up by one of the world’s largest record companies – Sony, and released the international hit “Fly Me to the Moon” in collaboration with the famous German DJ and producer Mark Spoon and Croatian Ivan Mastermix under the pseudonym TGP. During this period Robert Fisher began to perfect his own DJ style and had a string of performances in many of the renowned clubs in the region. Barbara Tucker, Marshal Jefferson and Mark Spoon are just some of the famous names with whom he has shared the stage.
At the same time some excellent collaborations with many jazz and rock-pop musicians were also created.
In fact it is his many years of experience in a wide range of musical genres which has influenced him and so he doesn’t direct his artistry in just one direction, and so his music can be viewed through many, wider optics. Robert Fisher is currently the resident DJ at the famous Colosseum Beach Bar in Opatija, Croatia and along with this his time is dedicated to his own musical work.
